Job Summary:

Polynt is a global chemical manufacturer with headquarters in Italy. The HR Generalist is part of the Americas region, which includes 19 sites in North and South America. This role supports 5-7 sites and functional groups. Primary Accountabilities/Functions:

  • Support 5-7 company manufacturing sites and functional groups
  • Lead the full talent acquisition cycle for assigned sites and functional groups
  • Own the onboarding and offboarding process for assigned sites and functional groups
  • Partner to regional manager and site managers of assigned areas
  • Act as a primary point of contact for the employees and managers at assigned sites and functional groups
  • Proactively support the delivery of HR processes at assigned sites and functional groups
  • Lead recognition and engagement efforts for assigned sites and functional groups
  • Build and maintain strong business relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Actively identify opportunities and come up with proactive solutions
  • Work with managers on succession plans for key talent and positions
  • Lead employee investigations
  • Respond to unemployment claims and third-party charges
  • Gather and analyze data to identify trends and make recommendations, such as employee retention and exit interview data
  • Lead meetings with upper management and the executive team as it relates to sites or functional groups
  • Ability to prioritize and effectively anticipate and respond to issues as they arise
  • Other duties as assigned by the HR Manager
  • Up to 20% travel within the U.S.

**Hybrid schedule until December 2024. After that, candidates must be able to work onsite in Carpentersville 4-5 days/week**

Education and Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources, or related field
    • HR certification preferred (SHRM or HRCI)
    • Minimum of 5 years of related human resources experience; multi-site, manufacturing preferred
    • Strong oral and written communication skills
    • HRIS experience (ADP Workforce now, SuccessFactors, etc.)
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Expertise in Microsoft Office
