Schedule: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7 days a week example 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on.. working every other weekend.. Rotational shifts could work nights one month and days the next, always with the same team

We are seeking a Production Supervisor (Team Manager) to lead and oversee shift operations at a turnaround site, ensuring safety, quality, efficiency, and continuous process improvement. This role requires a hands-on leader with experience in batch processing, production management, and team development.

Primary Accountabilities/Functions:
- Leadership & Team Development: Supervise, mentor, and develop production employees, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, operating procedures, and quality standards. Conduct 30-60-90-day evaluations, facilitate training, and drive employee engagement and performance improvement.
- Safety & Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all safety, environmental, and compliance regulations are met in accordance with OSHA, EPA, and company policies. Conduct safety talks, incident reviews, and risk assessments to maintain a safe work environment.
- Production Oversight & Optimization: Monitor batch operations and chemical production processes to ensure efficiency, quality control, and adherence to production schedules. Identify and troubleshoot process inefficiencies using root cause analysis and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Process & Quality Control: Conduct audits, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and collaborate with cross-functional teams including maintenance, logistics, customer service, and finance to ensure seamless operations. Implement process improvements and drive operational excellence.
- Shift Management & Communication: Lead shift handoffs and ensure seamless communication between teams. Work closely with maintenance and production staff to address any operational challenges.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of supervisory experience, preferably in batch chemical processing or manufacturing operations
- Knowledge of chemical manufacturing processes, industrial production, and process optimization preferred
- Experience with Process Safety Management (PSM), ISO 9001 standards, and OSHA compliance
- Strong technical proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Ability to analyze production data, identify process inefficiencies, and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Self-motivated, flexible individual with excellent organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Must be able to work in outside environment, climb stairs, wear full-face respirator, and lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally. Must have the ability to work in non-climate-controlled environments for extended periods of time
