JOB DESCRIPTION

Job title:                              WEIGHBRIDGE OPERATOR AND DRUMMER

Reporting to:                     WEIGHBRIDGE SUPERVISOR / PRODUCTION MANAGER

Main purpose of the position
To achieve the required customer expected results and objectives through the efficient and effective product packing procedures. Operate machinery in accordance with site and safety procedures.

Responsibilities are not fixed and will change over time and as the position evolves. The responsibilities listed below are not exhaustive. The Weighbridge Operative / Drummer is required to be flexible over the duties performed

Responsibilities
- Ensure that the Company and legislative standards of Health & Safety and QA are upheld at all times
- Follow practices environmentally acceptable and be aware of the duties and obligations placed on the Company
- Operate machinery in a consistent and reliable manner through the appropriate use of tools (equipment, control systems). Suggest new ideas/improvements with the aim of operating in the most cost effective and efficient way
- Report all relevant information in line with Company policy and procedures, including the completion of delivery documentation and packing documentation such as drumming sheets. Be responsible for delivering accurate information during shift handover and provide all relevant information to the responsible person of any deviant item/process found during the shift and eventual remedial action taken
- Ensure that RM/FG product sampling is carried out in a timely manner and results are recorded appropriately

- Ensure that process sampling is carried out in a timely manner and results are recorded appropriately
- Alert competent personnel in case of equipment malfunction and take appropriate actions for not getting false results/non conformance
- Be responsible for the upkeep of standards of housekeeping in line with safe and efficient operation of machinery and participate in improving housekeeping
- Ensure that your actions do not compromise your safety or that of others or the environment
