Laboratory Technician Orlando

Summary

The Lab Tech role ensures the quality of the product through various product tests for the customer. This role also follows specific directions on batch tickets for gel coat testing and Quality Control and forms a supervisor or manager of any deviation from the instructions, while performing quality checks on a product.  The Lab Tech reports to the Lab Lead.

Primary Accountabilities/Functions:

• Checks raw material to ensure Polynt Composites specifications are met.
• Quickly analyzes materials to meet production schedules/deadlines.
• Performs in-process sample test as outlined per the master.
• Assists production as requested by management.
• Follows direction from the Plant Management on which batches are hot and need to ship.

Follow plant safety/quality/environmental rules.

Requirements:

• Must possess a High School diploma or GED equivalent, college preferred. 
• Proficient Computer and related literacy required, including office suites and SAP.
• Ability to communicate read and understand information and ideas in writing.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations consisting of metric weigh conversions.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. 
• Analytical skills.
