Essential Functions
Troubleshoot, repair, install and maintain all chemical plant mechanical equipment. The mechanical equipment includes pumps (centrifugal, positive displacement, air diaphragm, etc.), agitators, fans, blowers, mechanical seals and sealing devices (packing, etc.) associated with this equipment. Install and modify existing and new piping systems and lines, including valves, vessels, filters, exchangers (assembly and disassembly) and equipment setting and alignment. Structural, construction, painting, concrete, insulation and light sheet metal work, etc. may also be required.
- Execute preventive/corrective maintenance to all the site electronics / power distribution / electrical equipment / PLC
- Automate and set up process-control systems
- Create/Manage the instrument calibration and preventive programs for process and service equipment.
- Report potential failures in plant equipment.
- Carry out all activities according to EHS procedures and best practices in order to have good maintenance reliability and maximize the useful life of the equipment and instruments.
- Project Development and basic engineering, material selection, instrument specifications, purchasing orders elaboration, cost comparatives, equipment and instrument implementation, adjustment and calibration as well as running them.
- Create/Maintain spare parts strategy and material for power, instrumentation and control equipment.
- Provide training to site technicians, operations and other personnel
- Actively lead and support site safety initiatives, especially PSM.
- Provide off hour support for plant, as needed.

Education and Experience Required
- 5-10 years’ experience in two or more areas of industrial wiring, instrumentation maintenance, PLC maintenance, maintenance of 480V motors
- Certified Electrician License, desired, or
- Electrical Engineering Degree

Supervisory Responsibility
Example: This position has no direct reports but assists in mentoring peers and other departments as needed.
Work Environment
This job operates in a plant environment. This role routinely requires PPE and sweating in addition to standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
This job is not appropriate for individuals with chemical sensitivity. Employees who display sensitivity to the chemicals present at the site despite using required safety measures may be subject to reassignment or termination of employment.
